Epilepsy following LeukaemiaHi there. My daughter was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia when she was 7. Treatment included chemotherapy and cranial irradiation. At 17 she developed cluster epilepsy. Every two weeks she will have 5/6/7 seizures over a 24 hour period. Various medications have been tried, the last one was Zonegran which appears to have been the worst of all. She has been taken off it too quickly and suffered rebound seizures and is unable to sleep properly. She has tried - Lamictal, Keppra, Gabapentin, Pregabalin and Zonegran. Does anybody have any ideas as to what might work better. The whole thing is stopping her from getting on with her life. |

| Hi 14033, welcome to the forum. ![]() See if you can get a hold of this book - The Healing Power of Neurofeedback: The Revolutionary LENS Technique for Restoring Optimal Brain Function. It explains the OchsLabs LENS system which can help the brain to heal itself (from physical damage). Combined with traditional EEG neurofeedback, there is a chance for the brain to heal and normalize itself. ![]()

| 14033 - Welcome, we are all glad that you joined us. You have both had a rough go. My daughter is 16, and having tonic clonic seizures. I know how difficult it is to find answers. I hope there are a few here that might work for you. |
