HelloIt was at this point I began to take it seriously and stop living selfishly. I am ashamed I took not only my life for granted but also the lives of others because I endangered them by doing things like driving but it is all in the past and there's nothing that can be done about it other than learn from it all. At this point I have a wonderful family of my own including a great husband and our young son of four months. I am very fortunate that my epilepsy is now under control and I haven't had more than one seizure in a little over two years. I look forward to being here and sharing with other people who know how I feel as most people don't. Thanks for having me! |

| Hi Laura, welcome to CWE! It takes time to come to terms with an epilepsy diagnosis -- often we have to go through all the stages (anger, denial, etc.) before getting to the acceptance part, and even then it's not always easy. I'm glad you've figured out what works for you. And congrats on being seizure-free! Best, Nakamova |
