| Hello welcome dear! There are lot of experts out here who can help u a lot! Kindly do mention the datails of your medication also. What I feel is that stress triggers your seizures, so what u can do is probably take rest. But with a small child, I know, its difficult. Look for some household help and consult your doctor as soon as possible. |

| Hi Sparklebutt, Changes your body goes through due to giving birth can make a huge impact on your endocrinological system. Therefore, the increase in seizures after giving birth could be due to changes in your hormonal system, so make sure you mention this to all of your docs. And are you seeing a specialist? Also, here is another great website to check out: http://professionals.epilepsy.com/page/hormones.html

| Thanks so much for all of the information. I have been told by three different drs that my seizures are stress related and my favorite line used was to live a stress free life. As much as I can I have been trying to eliminate things in my life that would cause stress and keep a positive outlook on things. However there are times like when our house burnt down it seems like it is so hard to bat stress away. Right now I am trickling up with lamictal, I am currently at 100mg twice a day soon to be moving up to 200mg twice a day. My dr wants to put me back on Keppra once I get all the way to the 200mg of lamictal. I really didn't like the way keppra made me feel but I guess that is better than the depakote that made my hair fall out. I have been on Depakote, Keppra, Clonazepam, Dilantin, Phenobarbital, Carbatrol, Tegretol, Zonegran, Lamictal, and Felbatol. Some of these medicines I have been on at the same time with others and some I have tried multiple times. I am really hoping not to go back on Keppra but if it stops the seizures and it is my best option then I guess I am to go for it. I am also starting this juice diet with a friend who is an epileptic and we are going to see how that goes. |

| Howdy Sparklebutt, welcome to CWE! What's in the juice diet? Be careful since there can be plenty of dietary triggers for seizures. Diets that have had a good track record for people with epilepsy are the Low-Glycemic and Modified Atkins. I hope the Lamictal alone does the trick for you. If it controls the seizures, definitely hold off on adding the Keppra. As you know, the fewer meds you can get away with, the better. Best, Nakamova |
