Hello everyone

My name is Robin..I am 36 years of age and diagnosed with Epilepsy 2 years ago after a TBI..I fell off the back of a pickup truck and hit my head..I was unconcious for 4 hours and started seizing in the hospital..While in ICU, my speech became disrupted..I had a stuttering issue for almost a year..After being on different meds such as Depakote, Keppra, and now the combination of 1200 Mg of Trilepital, and 200 Mg of Topamax, I am still having so many issues..I have changed neurolists 4 times, and finally went to see someone who specializes in Epilepsy on Wednesday..I have mostly absence seizures, but there is more going on as well..I have incontinence at night a few times a month, extreme fatigue, still a lot of short term memory loss, which I am sure is from the brain injury, and still have disturbances in my speech when I am having a seizure..My new neurologist is admitting me into an Epilepsy Center for 3 days for continous video EEG monitoring..She feels like she will get a better feel of whats going on with me..Although I have only seen her once, she does not feel that my meds are right or strong enough..She also mentioned that my right pupil is much bigger than my left..I am not sure what this means or even if it has anything to do with anything..I have seen severe mood swings with my medications, and feel a little discouraged at times..I have looked for support groups in my area but to no avail..I am happy that I have finally ;found a place to come where people understand <3

Welcome Wranglerluv! This is a great place to hang out and share and learn. I don't post very much, but I have learned a lot by reading other members posts. Good luck with the new neurologist.
