Hello everyone I'm new!!

Hi there, my name is Dianne43. I am new to this site. I don't know whether I am writing this in the correct section. I can't suss it out!!
Well what can I say, i'm 43 and have epilepsey. It started when I was a little girl. I was always climbing and fell off a roof and that must of started it. At that age I was given the responsibility to take my own medication in school and I can remember standing on them and crushing my medication!! I didn't understand. Then unexpectadley in 2000 I had a grand mal seizure and was off work for about a month. I was put onto Epilim (Sodium Valporate) 300 x 4. About 3 yrs later I was having mini seizures (de ja vues) quite a lot and I was banned again from driving for a year, which is devastating. Since then i've been ok most of the time but I get very very tired and feel strange in the head sometimes!!! But I am lucky that I don't experiance seizures all the time. I always find during mensturation Im at my worst. Thanks for listening. Dianne Smilies

Hi Dianne WELCOME to CWE

I can just picture you standing and crushing your medication. I think my daughter would have done that too, though she knows how expensive it is. We haven't found any acceptable to us yet.

We find that she also has a few around her TOM too. So she is using natural progesterone for this (when she remembers). She is 16 so I try to be patient.

Hope you find some good reading around the house that Bernard built.

Hi and welcome from me too. I too am at my worst during 'that time of the month'. hormones are sometimes very obnoxious. Lately, I've been waking up sweaty.... but if that will alleviate the seizures, I'll take it. Bern laughed... and agreed.

Hi and welcome. I have come to feel like everyone here is my extended family. I guess you could say that we really are because everyone here has the same thing in common.

Hi Dianne!

Welcome to CWE!

I vaguely remember doing something similar to crushing my meds when I was young, too. Did NOT make my parents all too happy if I remember right.

You'll like it here! Stick around, OK?

Hugs,

Meetz
