Smile Hello there, come fly with me...

Ever so pleased to have found a forum where I am able to research about epilepsy and find some solace that I am not entirely mad. I'll warn you now I have a warped sense of humour.....Life is to be treasured so I enjoy every moment I get. What is the aftermarth of post encepthatis or in another words a reward from 2 months in a coma (a brain virus that caused a slight anerism) Good choice though, death or epilepsy. I took the latter, wise decision, other than epilepsy I came back with everything else all in one piece. Well almost.... only 3 years loss of memory. During that 3 yr timeframe I had my first child and switched partners. From being previously a major successful Corporate IT Manager who would never marry again and never have kids to waking up to "here's Thomas your 18 month old son and your Fiance Jeremy" yeah right, pull the other one. But at least Jeremy was certainly better looking than Thomas's father, Andrew...and why is everyone looking at me as if I've just won lotto!!! more morphen thanks Doc' ICU is a great place when you're mind is screwed, drugs on demand. Well that's how I came to have epilepsy anyway and by the way I'm getting to enjoy Diazapam, fantastic albeit the way in which its applied...I'm probably one of the few that actually enjoy the experience of having tonic seizure's. Topomax, lost 10 kg never looked better, more sex drive, partner's been never happier and when I do have tonic seizures that is where I just go totally rigid. Fortunely I don't thrash around. Not quite sure what he does, I fail to think. My current partner Grahame (yep Divorced - Jeremy couldn't handle the pace, so he ditched me for a slightly heavier version, Natalie) reckons I grow at least 2 inches, he's probaly right, I feel as if everyone muscle in my body has been stretched. the great thing though is that I spend at least an hour out cold totally flying above green pastures, feel the warmth from the sun and can smell the green grass and flowers and see everyone down below. I even ask the people below to come with me but their reply is that they can't. Sometimes I really do think I'm mad. One thing I don't fear is death. The other type of seizures I have is pain. You probably have similiar types, its just sheer pain in the left arm that lasts about a minute. I've worked out what causes mine - certain foods and citris fruits. Highly processed and certain sugars bring them on. Red wine is out, damn loved my Merlot...The good news I can drink white wine though and eat chocolate, there is a god afterall! Not that I am religious.
Well that's about all for the moment. Thanks for allowing me to join your forum. Catch yuh

I think he should have added something about chocolate in there too.

Thank you, I'm sure I will. I has taken years to get back into chocolate after being tube feed chocolate and coffee flavoured food substance during my coma, I guess it was similiar to "computer said no" fortunately coffee is still off limits. Hey thanks for the support. T.
