Hello xx New Member xx Girlies hair Dye?

Hi I am new just thought i would join as I am dying to ask a question to the girls and boys xx I am taking the Keppra medication quite a big dose 750mg am and the same in the evening x But just wondered anyone that dyes their hair to you find that your hair colour fades really quickly due to the medication you have ? If yes would you be able to help me on what dye you have found the best xxx I know this is a really random thing to ask but I just wanted to ask someone else who may understand what I mean xx Thanks and its lovely to be able to talk to other people with epilepsy xx

Hi Gem!

I dye my hair and take Keppra 2,500mgs per day and have not noticed any lose of color. For some reason I do notice the gray coming in faster LOL

Hey thanks for reading the message and replying ! xx You take a large dose not meaning that nasty x Do you still have many fits ? x x What hair dye brand do you use and do you use Semi or permanent xxx

I use whatever brand is on sale!! I also take 200mgs of vimpat and 500mgs of Carbatrol. I still have seizures, but less often.

The thing with me is I use Wella but it always fades, Does anyone have a name they find really good ? xxxxx

I'm also on 2500mg of keppra. I've not dyed my hair since i've been on it, but i'm about to go a cool purple colour. (When i manage to get time!)

It depends on what colour you are wanting to go. Any colour with a blue tint will fade pretty quickly, whereas reds seem to stick around longer. If you dye your hair a lot it can damage it and make it porous which means the colour will fade out quicker.

I use schwartzkopf mostly and it seems to work pretty well.

I used to be on a heavy dose of K, but never had trouble with hair color. My gray didn't fade away at all.
