Hi sayyadina, welcome here. This is a great site and I am sure you are going to like it. This forum was made by Bernard out of love for his wife Stacy. My epilepsy is genetic. I know what you mean by "low points." I have had a lot of them in the 60 years of epilepsy. I stay positive and keep a good attitude. That gets me through them.

![]() Welcome to CWE. I just welcomed another member from Canada, now the beautiful country of New Zealand. I think this site is so lucky to have members from so many different countries. I believe that provides even more insight on different problems and solutions to our problems. I think at last count, I knew of active members from at least 8 countries. Insurance and medications are some of the big differences. Come on in and have a seat, I'll get the coffee.

Welcome Sayyadina! This is a great resource for folks dealing with epilepsy, including friends, caretakers, loved ones. It's great to stay positive for your family, but if you need to vent or yell or cry, check out the Padded Room forum and let loose. If you have any questions, or just want to chat we have forums for that too. Best, Nakamova

lol, she is a little young at this stage... She is only 10 and wishes she could fix here daddy hence why she wants to become a Dr. We have spent a lot of time at the hospital lately and I overhead a number of conversations she had with the various nurses on the wards. She liked to help them out with small tasks and they would say, "Do you want to be a nurse when you are older?" and her response was always, "No. I can't because I am going to be a neurosurgeon.."
