Hi I'm Leona



I'm Leona
i'm soon to be 18 and i've had epilepsy for almost 9yrs its been tough when i was younger i had lots of test done to confirm what it was lots of mri's and eeg and every few months they'd check my blood just to check the meds were working.I have seziures often but not every wk so it could be a 2 or 3 month gap before my next seziure. I have most of my seziures while i sleep and get these really bad headaches in the morning. i have my family and boyfriend who look after me and so far in the last 6months i would've only had about 3 or 4

i have a major assement due for uni in at the end of semester i would like to know how you all cope with your epilepsy whether is be through medication treatment of some other kind thanks your replys would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a link Bernard posted of alternative treatments for E. Of course there are lots more. I try to be aware of my breathing & that sometimes helps.

Stacy is currently taking Dilantin (phenytoin), vitamins/minerals (sorry, don't have the list in front of me), pregnenolone, following a pseudo-LGIT diet and training her brain with EEG neurofeedback.
