Hi Jena,

Welcome Aboard - there's lots to learn, and plenty of nice people to make friends with on here.

I've had Epilepsy for 39 years, 307 days - not that I'm counting or anything

Hello! Welcome to CWE- I too along with my twin have had epilepsy since age 6 making about 19 years with E, blindness and hearing impairment. I think it really changes your life when you have to deal with a disability or condition. Lots of people out there don't usualy have to deal with medical issues but coming here you realize more than you know deal with some type of condition or disability. There are lots of people on here that can share personal stories or thought and helpful information to you. I've shared some stories, some ideas and even some poetry in the Creative Writing Group. Please take care and be safe..

Welcome Jena,

I was born with Epilepsy as well. Have a complimentary cup of coffee (or tea if you wish), & check out the site. There's tons of good information here as well as some of the friendliest people I've met.

I'm new here also. I had it for 6 years undiagnosed. A lot of people have disabilities and say nothing so you don't ever have to feel alone. Especially here.

Hi Jena Welcome to CWE! It's really great to have you here. My son was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2007, so we have a couple years of experience behind us.

Pull up a chair and make yourself at home

Love you kid, my name is Hosea. Ten years ago I had my first seizure, out of the blue. To wake up in ER was eye opening. I was lucky to have a caring nurse
bedside when I open my eyes. What helps me cope is always saluting Firemen and EMT's. When given a chance I thank them on behalf of you and me. Try it.
