I have been on dilantin fo about a year now and was having problems with my sleep(was basically getting no sleep) and having excitement problems where my brain felt like it was going a billion miles an hr. I'm now on a mixture of keppra and dilantin(doc switched me to dilantin in the mornings insted of at nite) and now im going even craizer. Is this normal or is anyone else having these problems??? Any feed back would be greatly appricated. Or am I just crazy???

Welcome jonnyd

I've been on both keppra & dilantin but was always on other meds at the same time. I do remember that keppra made me very unsure of myself (as well as numerous other things). I did wonder if I was crazy too but I'd decided that we probably all are, it's just that some of us have figured it out. Also, I know that some people get extreme anger from the keppra (keprage) that is sometimes helped by vitamine B6.

You haven't done anything wrong here. It's great that you introduced yourself in the foyer, I just gave you your own thread (and gave it a title) so that everyone can welcome you.

Thank everyone for the warm welcome!!! I was searching google about the medication and came across the link to here and said to myself WOW!!! I never thought so many others would be out ther willing to share their experences openly to maybe help a complete stranger out. I'm not a fan of the dialntin keppra mix but don't know any other way of controlling my problem. I will ask my doc about the vitiman B and maybe that could be the answer. Thank you once again!!!
