Hi new here!I recently started having seizures. I've had about 20 grand mals in the past 2 months. I finally went to a neurologist and was diagnosed with epilepsy. I'm coming here for the same reason you're here....To learn more, and I feel the best way is from others with the same problem. So hopefully I can get some questions answered and get some new insight. Thanks for checking out my post! |

| Hi and welcome! I got diagnosed this year and this is by far the best place to learn, vent and just have an ear of someone who REALLY understand. I didn't have a clue where to go to find information...but here is where I found out so much information...glad you found it too. |

![]() Welcome Casie, Come on in and stay awhile. We are always open for new members and this is the best site I have ever found. So have a seat and get comfortable. Just remember that epilepsy is not the end of the world. I am 47 and have had it since 20. Your life is still wide open before you. |

Then on Nov 4 I had 12 in one day. My friends brought me to the ER and they basically said there was nothing they could do. They prescribed me ativan and sent me on my way. It took me about a week to get into the dr office. Once I did, there still didn't seem like there was much she could do since the EEG and MRI are so expensive. And I don't have insurance. Thank God I finally went to a different hospital. They admitted me as a patient over night. So I was finally able to get my testing done. Thank you everyone for being so inviting! It's great to find some answers! Thank you again. |

| Welcome Casie - I am sure you will find this place very warm and caring. It's so sad to think that a person's life can be measured with money.
