Hi, hello

and how's it going, John??

Scotland, huh? That's pretty cool! We've got a few UKers....I'm sure you'll meet up with them as you hang out here.

Sorry to hear about the E. But, I do know how u feel. I've been blessed with that type of E as well, except mine is nocturnal. Have you talked to your doctor about the side effects? You might want to check out the following link for some ideas:

Alternative Treatments

You might also consider starting an E journal to document the seizures, what's happened, etc. Things like food (yes, no joke), sleep and many other things can be triggers for the seizures. I have an excellent list of things to put into an E journal if you'd like it.

Check out the Kitchen and Library for information, and the Padded Room is great for venting when you need to. There are plenty of great people around here to make friends with, so feel free to kick up your heels and relax.
Hopefully someone will bring around some well-made coffee. I burnt mine again.

Take care!

Meetz

Hi John Egoless Man (love the name!), welcome to CWE!

It is hard "being different from everyone else". But here at CWE you'll find plenty of folks who aren't so different. We can all relate in one way or another. So, welcome to the party. I hope you enjoy the company and the conversation, and feel free to join in.

Best,
Nakamova

Welcome

I've been on Tegretol for decades. I spent most my high-school years on tegretol with 2 other anti-epileptic drugs. I was taken off the other 2 when I was in my 30's so feeling the side-effects of tegretol is nothing by comparison. I can't say I wouldn't be delighted if I didn't have them though.

Have you ever considered keeping a seizure diary of what and when you do all day-eat, sleep, take your meds how you feel etc. It does make it easier to see patterns of when you have seizures & maybe find a trigger.
