I am glad that we do not have a text. My husband would do the same thing.

I just say that I can go on my own, if I want to. We have sat down and discussed it. Why don't you do the same thing?

Oh I've tried; even my father is starting to get annoyed at her because if I take a nap and don't tell her, or I'm just listening to music with head phones on and I don't answer, she would come bolting up the stairs and shake me out of my world and into reality. Really quite annoying.

get good doctor

Kage6415

I have had seizures for over 55 years and still not under control. I am on Keppra at this time, just one of the meds i take. Keppra is causing me headachs, not getting much sleep ( maybe 3 or 4 hours a night if that much), takes me one hour to fall asleep. My neuo ro gave me klonopin to help me relax so i could sleep, but i ended staying up all night instead.

I have had over 10 doctors just for my epilepsy . The one i have he listen to what i say, and i listen to what he says. We talk about the new meds out their. We talk about different surgerys that are out their and weither i would be interested. If i am in the er, he comes and check up on me to see if it really bad or what. This last seizure i broke my ankle, When the doctor came to see me in er, he was able to get me to calm down some and laugh ( even though my ankle was killing me). This is the kind of doctor you are looking for, someone to help you, and listen and explain to you...

Daniel...welcome to a very big club where most of it's members didn't ask to join and would rather be honorary. You are a very brave young man! My sleep seizures started when I was about your age, but my parents didn't have the foresight to take me to a doctor. So, I just continued to seize. Believe it or not you are fortunate. They were able to immediately find out the source of your problem. I've had EEG's; MRI's; EKG's; etc. Yet, because my seizures only occur in my sleep and there is never a rhyme or reason to them, we can't find the source.

Now, the good news. While I would MUCH rather be seizure free, because of the medication, my seizures have reduced down to one about every 2-3 years. However, if I get stubborn and stop taking my meds, they come back like a tital wave. I've been on Dilantin since about 1982 and in about a week they are going to start supplimenting that with Lamictal. Hang in there, young man. You're going to do great!
