Smile I'm new too

Hello! I just joined today. My 2 year old son was diagnosed with epilepsy in January. This has been a horrific journey as he is on the third medicine and still having 20+ absence and complex partial seizures each day. Actually, 20 is really a good day. I'm just looking to talk to people who have some personal experience info to share and maybe some answers to questions.

Hi dazyscrazy! Welcome to the forum. Feel free to ask any questions. This is a friendly forum, with several parents going through a similar experience. Again, welcome.

Hi dazyscrazy, welcome to the forum.

Sorry to hear that your son is having so many seizures. Pediatric cases are tough becuase they can't communicate and their brains are still growing.

If the drugs aren't working, perhaps he would respond to a "seizure control diet". Check out the chart in my signature and talk to his doctor about the options.

Hi Dazyscrazy - So sorry to hear about your son. My daughter is having tonic clonic seizures and it is difficult. Diet is directly linked to my daughters episodes, so I suggest you do some research in that direction. I also don't mean diet in terms of needing to cut back on caloric intake. I mean in the nutritional arena.

I have no doubt you will find some great info here to help you with your search.
