HI
Just wanted to share, the rescue med Amy been given for seven days seemed to do the trick . Shes been taking clobazam 10mg for the seven days shes at risk during her cycle . I was reading the information on what it does . Apparently its used for short periods, to treat severe anixety. It may also be used for longer preiods as part of a treatment for epilepsy. It works by calming excitable nerve cells in the brain .

Glad to hear that she's got things under control! Must be a real relief for you.

Hi Tom

Its early days, but ,so far this month as been good . Hopefully her seziures around her cycle will decrease when using it. I beleive that her cycle is a trigger, we can cantrol diet, drinking and ensuring that she gets enough sleep, but not those hormones we needed help. This as been a long battle, (2006) for the doctors to listen.

Hows your daughter been getting on

sharron

Last day on the rescue med = no seziures at present , this is very encouraging as amy tends to have seziures when she is due her period . still have everything crossed tho for the next month

little update

Amy should be on the rescue med from 21st july , but no symptoms of the dreaded time of the month . So the nurse dose not want her to take it until the usual symtoms start . So this month touch wood no drama . We do however have a gynie appointment (spelt wrong ) 13 th august .
