Neurofeedback

Hi. I'm new to this forum. I have had sensory simple partial seizures for 13 years and am looking into neurofeedback. Has anyone tried neurofeedback to decrease or rid themselves of seizures? Does anyone have recommendations on where to find a specialist in neurofeedback for epilepsy? I live in PA but am willing to travel anywhere to do this. Thank you!

Welcome rcetintas

I also have partial seizures (simple & complex) & would love to also try neurofeedback, I just need to find a good provider & get some money together.

You might want to check out RobinNs experience with her daughter Neurofeedback - Rebecca's Story.

Hope that helps.

Hi Rcetintas, welcome to the forum. :hi:

There are several members here who have used or are using neurofeedback. My wife has used it in the past with good results.

Welcome to the forum. My son is undergoing neurofeedback treatments now. He went 16 weeks between seizures which is the longest he's gone since his diagnosis in March, 2009. I highly recommend it. In addition to going to eeginfo, I would recommend doing a google search for neurofeedback <your location> and pick the largest town/city closest to where you live. There are lots of practicioners who have websites and this is a good way to get a feel for their practice and whether or not they can handle epilepsy or serious brain disorders.
