Smile new and...

isnt this good? we can all offer advice and stuff!

i feel a bit like a lemon cuz actually my epilepsys so under control (touch wood) and there are some real horror stories here..which is so sad.

however, id like to say to lots of (specifically new) sufferers that even when things go totally to sh*t - you can pull thru. i was hopeless a few years back, and put through reems of drug combinations, but things have worked out.

you can be totally normal and epileptic - thats really important to remember

ps - an aside - does ANYONE have a good experience with keppra?! i sure didnt, it looks like noone does!

peacexx

Cool Welcome sarahJ!....

I'm glad you're controlled at the 'time bean'...

As for a 'good time' with Keppra....I can say I didn't have an exceptionally BAD time compared to others so I can't complain too hard. However it did give me trouble whilst getting used to it!

Peace

Welcome Sarah! Glad to see that you're enjoying the forum. Like you, for years my seizures were very well controlled through medication. But my level of control has dropped a little, so I'm back to working on it. But I TOTALLY agree..it's possible to have epilepsy and lead a normal life. And that is something that we all need to remember and strive for.

Hello Sarah. Plop down on the couch, put your feet up, and enjoy the company around here. The fireplace is lit and the music is playing in the background. The coffee will be ready in just a minute.

Yes, keppra can be good. It does have its well documented side-effects of which I am all too familiar. However, I have not had a tonic clonic in 4+ years (KNOCK on wood). Other problems have popped up, but at least I am not having tonic clonic seizures.

Here's your coffee (or hot cocoa or tea or

I want to stay here with you instead of carpool, doctor's office and skating rink...

...aawww I just looked out on the front porch and there is a new stranger kitty asleep on the bench. Makes for a real nice cozy picture.

Keep those drinks warm.

Sara,
Hi again! Isn't the ducky cute. I love it!! Anyways its not too hard to find. All you do is click where it says Control Panel at the top of the screen. Then when you do that, to the left of the screen it will show different settings and options to choose from. Go to Edit Avatar, then after doing that you should see the duckie as one of your choices. Hope that helped!!
