New Here

New here...I know this sounds odd....
I had grand mal seizures when I was little...they migrated into these nocturnal seizures that happen when I'm falling asleep. (apparently)
Now, I have had extremely ridiculous experiences immediately following these seizure episodes. I have visions, speak with the dead, live someone else's life, do things, etc. I had always blamed it on dreams. It never happens when I have tried multiple sleep studies.
It recently, has become more intense. If I fall during this "other life" ...I awakend with bruises, etc. I have visions that come true CONSTANTLY. I have seen ghosts, I have communicated with them, etc. I thought I was hallucinating, until a "ghost" in my new house removed a wooden block from my step and told me to reach in. When I awakened from this "dream" I found a hole in my step...the wooden block completely missing...reached inside and found the previous owner's journal with pictures. The pictures were that of the "ghost" I was "dreaming" about. I discussed these episodes with my doctor because I have been absolutely petrified of these encounters...asked if it could be sleep paralysis etc. 9 doctors later...I just get an "omg this woman is crazy" look from them. No one has any answers for me at all. It has been proven on a daily basis that these visions are accurate. I'm not crazy, I'm not insane, I'm not a devil worshipper, I'm not dreaming, I'm not making this up, I'm not sleep walking, I'm not paralyzed, I'm not a voo doo princess, I don't practice black magic, I'm not imagining it...it's a fact. I have been doing years worth of research on my experiences to try to find out if anyone else out there experiences these things. What I have found is this...(and I know it sounds far fetched...it's the only thing that matches what I experience so keep an open mind!)...
People only use 10% of their brains. When we seizure, it opens the capacity to 12-19% of brain usage. Like animals who are susceptible to paranormal energies, these extra percentages due to a sort of electricity in the brain may cause us to hear and see in a higher frequency than the normal human being and much like our furry friends who are sensitve to the paranormal. This will cause for psychic episodes, out of body experiences, paranormal experiences, etc.
There's my abbreviated thesis...what do you think? Am I a nutbag? lol. Who knows...maybe I'm right. Maybe that's why we see and hear things. Our human mind can only hold a certain capacity and immediately makes a logical explaination. But how many times have you had experiences and think "I was just dreaming"...or "it was my imagination"...or "it must be sleep paralysis"...How many logical explainations can there be for something to keep happening over and over again. How many coincidences can there logically be? Anything is possible...why not this? I know what I'm experiencing is real. There is alot of proof to back this up (which would make for a WAY too long post!) and I'm tired of doubting myself...listening to doctors saying it's stress. Truth of the matter? My life is good. I'm not stressed out. Recently I was told by one doctor..."You are stressed out. You just don't realize it."....ummm...ok. Grasping at straws, doc?
So, in conclusion...think deeply about all of these experiences you're having. Open your mind to it and ask yourself this..."is this just a dream?"

Hello and welcome to CWE

I definitely do not think you are crazy. I was just recently diagnosed with Epilepsy, but can pick out past situations that may have been a seizure. When I was 9, I had a severe head injury from a bicycle accident. I have scar tissue on the right side of my brain (as well as juvenile myoclonic epilepsy i am told by my neurologist, so think I have 2 types of E)

Since that accident I have seen things or known things that I could possibly have seen or known. For example, the first experiance I had with this was right after the accident, I was still in my cast, and my grandma came out to visit. I had visions for 3 days straight, and then on the third day I saw a man walk into the bedroom that me and my grandma were sleeping in. I noticed, she did not. This wasnt a normal man, his head almost touched our 8 foot ceilings, and he moved at the speed of a blink!

I was too scared to wake her up, breathe, or pull the covers over my head. I was afraid he would notice that I could see him. But I accidentally made eye contact with him, and held it. hoping I wouldnt blink. My eyes watered and burned, and I somehow knew he wasnt there to hurt me or my grandma, but to be her guide when it was time for her to pass on.

3 days later she passed away. I still blame myself for not telling her to go to the doctor to maybe prevent that outcome, but I know deep down it wouldn't have made a difference.

These experiances happend until I turned 18. On August 4th my step-grandma died and I didnt have a warning, and nor have I had one since. But now I just get a feeling that something is terribly wrong, and then I get word someone has passed away. I have been to a psychic that has known all of the above without me telling her. I was too afraid for her to tell me any more, so I left in tears

I would suggest seeing a reputable psychic if you truly believe this is happening. Ask around for one, as the good ones dont need to advertise for themselves, word of mouth works wonders in this area!

Good luck and feel free to Private message me if you would like to discuss this in more depth

P.S. sorry that was long!

Hi cheerfulgirl, welcome to the forum.

My wife has experienced similar things when having seizures. It's actually not that uncommon amongst those who experience temporal lobe seizures.

HI CG - Welcome
I know what it is like having doctors look cross-eyed at you.
Have you considered writing to someone that has similar sensitivities as you do? There are a few celebs that I can think of, but I am sure there are others, (they use them many times in Police cases when they have come to a dead end, with great results). I was thinking they might be able to talk with you about ways you can use these senses, and visions for a positive outcome, and teach you ways to not let them scare you.

At any case I think it would be smart to just keep journaling what is occurring and perhaps you will find answers over time. Sounds like you were given a gift, and just don't know yet how to channel it.

Hi Cheerful, welcome to CWE!

It's amazing what the brain is capable of. This is one aspect of epilepsy that is fascinating rather than dismaying. You can see and feel in an unusual way, and it can provide visions or sensations that are unique. People with migraines often feel something similar about their auras. As long as your visions aren't interfering with your waking life, then make the most of them!

I think

that making the most of the things you're given as Nakamova pointed out would be a great thing to do.

As to what you're going through? It sounds like temporal lobe epilepsy. Possible deja vu episodes and the other things that you spoke of are all typical of it. Have you talked to a neurologist by chance? If so, have you had a LONG-TERM EEG done? That is, one that's at LEAST 24 to 48 hours? Those 20 minute to 1 hour things don't do much good in picking up seizures unless you're constantly seizing.

Keep in mind, an EEG is a "snapshot in time" of the possible seizure activity in your brain at any one time...

Good luck, and take care!!

Meetz
