Hi Bernard I still have so much to learn, that is one thing that I do not recall the doctor discussing with me at all, and I really do not know what post-ictal is. I am interested to know, so that I might know what is what when I experience it. I am so... looking forward to learning more about this neurofeedback treatments. Going to study more on the net (wouldnt it be great if it could be done online!) and when I can afford it, it sounds very worth a shot. Anyhoo, what is post ictal exactly, if you have time to explain, I appreciate it. I know I sound like an idiot Thanks Jlynn |

| Hi Jlynn I seem to be worse first thing in the morning, and I had a spate of really bad seizures in the bathroom for a few months, obviously I hurt myself pretty badly with all th ehard surfaces in there. I fell out the shower, fell off the loo, hit my head on the radiator, etc, no wonder I never have a bath!! I think it may take our brains a while to adjust from sleep to awake, I have extremely deep and intense dreams most nights, I'm so into them, I can wake up and tell Mark all about them, where I've been, who I've been with, what I did!! Weird or what, but I've always been like that ever since I was a kid. I always try and shake myself up and awake as soon as I can once I'm awake, I always find that I have auras (Simple Partial Seizures) if I just lie there, I hav eto get up and get my brain into gear, that's the time when I'm less likely to have any problems, I'm usually ok as long as I'm busy, focussed, challenged, hence why I'm so keen to get back into a busy challenging job, I wouldn't make a very good "down and out" I love to be busy!! I hope you are ok, and finding the answers to your questions on CWE? It's just so cool to be with people who simply understand eh? Take care, and have a wicked weekend! LOL Elaine X |

I was told that hormones and nutrition do not play a role in seizures, by a neurologist. I was told that the GI tract does not play a role in seizures, by a gastroenterologist. I was told by a UCLA pharmacist that she had never heard of Taurine. I could go on... but you get my drift. Keep researching and use your intuition to find links to your particular situation and you will be ahead of the game.

Nancy Its amazing, but there too in the medical profession exists idiots, and complete jerks too. Earlier this year when I quit smoking, and went for a checkup with a lung doctor, he told me any breathing problems I had were likely due to allergies, and NOT smoking. Dumb Ars doctor, he was basically saying that it would be fine if I smoked! Anyhoo.... I hear ya. Hope you got a new doctor, one with at least common sense Jlynn |
