newbie here~EEG probes off

hey everyone, new here and decided to give it a try. It's amazing when I read posts that sound so similar to what I do. It feels like your the only person in the world feeling the way you do and then you see other people going through the same thing. So comforting. Wished none of us had to go through this though.

didn't know where I should go for a question, but here it goes
I've had several EEG's in the office before and have been diagnosed with frontal lobe seizures, BUT this time was sent home with a ambulatory EEG (or 72 hr eeg machine) and some of the probes are coming off and so aggravated with this all on my head. The machine will stop recording data in 2 hours. So, question is can I take these things off before I go back to the dr tomorrow morning at 9, or do I just leave it on (of course with a few probes already off)??? Since, it is not recording data anyway after the 72 hrs is up. Husband says, leave it alone :-P
thanks!!
Tonya

Hi Tonya, welcome!

Sorry I missed your post, you've probably already been in to see the doc. I would have recommended leaving them in, just so the doc could see which ones were still in place.

Let us know how everything went.

Best,
Nakamova

I agree. Leave 'em on, Tonya. They need to see which are on and which are off. Although they should be able to see that quite clearly on the EEG tracing. At the very least it will be good feedback for the technician, so she/he can see which of their glue jobs went awry.

EEG probes

thanks! yes I decided to leave them on so they could see which ones were off. Then, when I got there they technician said you could have took them off. I said I wished you would have told me that. ugh.. oh well I don't want to do that again. I should find out results by thurs or friday.
