Newly DiagnosedI just started having what I would recognize as seizures last summer, though this has been going on for years. I have simple and complex partial seizures that range from a weird feeling to a collapse of the right side of my body and loss of consciousness. At their worst they were occurring pretty much daily. My neurologist started me on Kepra about 6 weeks ago, and after a few weeks of unpleasant side effect (including what I just learned is referred to as Kepprage), I am, so far, nearly seizure-free since New Year's Eve. Yes, I know that's only a few weeks, but that's a big change from collapsing every few days. Of course, I also lost my driving privileges, which has been pretty rough. I live a half-hour drive from ... well pretty much everything. -Brent |

| Hi Brent, welcome to CWE! I hope you make yourselves at home. There are many different forums, places to chat or ask questions or vent as needed, Congrats on being seizure-free! You might want to try a B Complex Vitamin that includes B6 to help with the Kepprage/moodiness. Best, Nakamova |

| Welcome Brent - Glad you found us. Great news that you are doing well on the medication that was offered. Sound like if you keep going down this path you will be driving again before you know it. My daughter is not able to get her license yet. I am hopeful, though she is trying to get her hopes up.

Welcome Brent 2 weeks is actually a long time for people like me. Usually I only go 1 or 2 days without a seizure though my record so far is 10 days. Meanwhile listen to Nakamova & get some B6 and try to be aware of when you're feeling side-effects & when it's really you.
