| Hi Katomay, welcome! Prednisone can lower seizure threshold, so it could be making your son's seizures worse. (In addition, anti-seizure medications can decrease the effectiveness of prednisone, so it may be less effective in treating the poison ivy.) The poison ivy could also be a stressing your son's body and lowering his seizure threshold. Stimulants (like caffeine) can definitely be seizure triggers for some folks. |
