Siezure in shower this morning

this morning I had my first seizure of the day in the shower, then on the kitchen floor , then ..... seems like I can't do anything but sit or I have a seizure. this is the 14th day of ramping up on lamictal xr , tomorrow I will take 100mg instead of 50mg, I hope the seizures let up , I have high hopes that the increase will help out .

Make sure you get out of the shower before you go into a full blown seizure. Bad things can happen in the shower. Let the dr. know what is going on. He/she needs to know since this is the 14th day you're ramping up on Lamictal. You may need something else.

Sorry to see that you had a seizure in the shower the other day, I'm not sure what type of seizure you had in the shower eg - Aura, Complex Partial, T/C. But having any seizures in the shower or bath are both scary & pretty dangerous.

I have had auras while in the shower but always seem to get out of the shower while having the aura because when I come out of the seizure I'm either in the bathroom or in my room. I only usually remember having the shower then the aura coming but never remember actually getting out of the shower so I assume I just automatically step out of the shower while I am in the aura. I mainly have auras/ partial seizures so I haven't burnt or injured myself while having a seizure in the bathroom.

Have you spoken to your neurologist about the seizures you had that day?
I hope you were able to get the seizures under control in the end & didn't injure yourself too badly from the seizures.

I had a seizure in the shower and broke my nose when I was seventeen.
My step-father ran in my BIL ran in and my sister with a towel behind them. I had three surgeries because of my nose, with that seizure.

I was very lucky to have a bar and a built in bench, if it werent for those things I would have hurt myself , I have grandmal seizures and complex partial seizures, so they tell me anyways.

I've had 2 seizures in the shower total a few years back and how I didn't end up hurting myself I don't know. I fell out and banged myself on the sink knocking out of place in one of them.

When I was first diagnosed I didn't have auras, or if I did I didn't know what they were, I'd just go right into the seizure. I didn't know that I should stop what ever it was that I was doing and sit down somewhere that I wouldn't get hurt.

Now alot of times before the seizure I do realize that it's coming on so I can get myself somewhere that I won't get hurt. I'm still having seizures though where it's just BANG right into the seizure. I blank out and usually don't even know that I had it unless there was someone to see me.
