Stopping medication, how is memory?If so, does short term memory get better? do you start remembering things better? Do you stop being clumsy? Thank you! |

| I have stopped taking tegretol, depakote, tried weaning off dilantin, and yes the memory does seem affected greatly in my case. After a while it seems to become better, I couldn't say all of it but enough that I cant tell the difference, coming off those drugs are hard, I was going through it with dilantin but had an allergic reaction to the anti-epileptic drug I was changing too |

| Thats great news. There is a big history of alzheimer in my family, so at least now i have some hope of enjoying my memory at some point, before it degenerates again. thanks |

| Make sure you talk to your neurologist before you stop taking any meds. It could make things worse, possibly having more seizures. |
