Back to school tips

Both my kids are starting school this year. I am having them get up in the morning and getting ready. I get up at 6 20 and I have to have them at school at 730 and have me at work by 8. They won't get up, they don't want to get ready or eat breakfast. Please help! I need my sleep to, of course...

I can understand what u exactly mean here. When sleepdeprivation leads to stress and seizures it gets really difficult to wake up early morning and that also when u have to work till 8. Dear all I can suggest is finish some of the things in night only so that u can get up a little late. My baby goes at 7 15 and get her up at 6 45 only. that way u see even half an hour is enough if most of the work is finished in night, like ironinig uniforms, making vegatable and all. Some times I give my baby a bath in the night only. Tell your kids that how "good babies" help their moms and they will definitely help u. Have patience everything will be alright.

I think it will be a work in progress. Yesterday my little one didn't get to bed until 11. He had a nap though. Got my older child to sleep by 9:30. Hoping soon we will be back at going to sleep by 8. Summer really messed up their schedule. This morning I turned the tv on while I got ready for one child. She was still hard to wake up but not impossible. Now I just have to work on getting all the stuff ready. Any good lunch ideas? Went to the dr and they said one of the kids are obese. Just one more thing to deal with.

Can you do some stuff the night before? Like laying out their clothes for the next day, and/or making their lunches (ideally with their help)?

If your kids like sandwiches, try swapping out the bread for a medium-sized whole wheat tortilla wrap --1/3 the calories of a single slice of bread, but just as filling. Generally, lowering sugar and limiting carbs to complex carbs can help. Your kids may have specific dietary needs, so check with the doctor for suggestions.
