Cartoon Trivia question

If anybody recalls Bullwinkle the moose and Rocky the Flying squirrel, here is a trivia question:

What is Bullwinkle's full name (yes there is one!) ?
What does his middle initial mean?

Both Bullwinkle the moose & Rocky (Rocket) the squirrel have the same initial which is J.

This is just a wild guess but is the J because it's the 1st letter in the name of one of the producers of their show Jay Ward?

Ding Ding Ding! You win!
Ironically the cartoonist's name was J (just the letter J) which became Bullwinkle's middle name as well:
Bullwinkle J Moose!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jay Ward had his name changed to look more 'normal'.

That was a great wild guess.

Thanks

I did google it but all I found was that both Rocky & Bullwinkle had the same middle initial and who the producer was.

I only assumed that was how they got the J in their middle name

Created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, The Flintstones ran for six seasons from 1960 to 1966. Fred Flintstone and his friend Barney Rubble were members of the Loyal Order of Water Buffaloes Lodge No. 26. Originally called the Loyal Order of Dinosaurs, the fraternity appeared in twenty episodes.

Now, when was the FIRST appearance of Bugs Bunny?

1938.

Bugs Bunny is an animated rabbit who appears in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of animated films produced by Warner Bros., one of which, 1958's Knighty Knight Bugs, won an Academy Award, hence his standard introduction on his 1960-launched television series, "...that Oscar-winning rabbit...." According to his biography, he was "born" in 1939 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York and the product of many creators: Ben "Bugs" Hardaway (who created a prototypical version of Bugs Bunny that appeared in 1938's Porky's Hare Hunt, 1939's Prest-O Change-O, 1939's Hare-um Scare-um, 1940's Elmer's Candid Camera and 1941's Elmer's Pet Rabbit, although billed in the last as Bugs Bunny--the first time that name was used on-screen) Bob Clampett, Tex Avery, Robert McKimson (who created the definitive Bugs Bunny character design), Chuck Jones, and Friz Freleng. According to Mel Blanc, his original voice actor, his accent is an equal blend of the Bronx and Brooklyn dialects; Tex Avery said, to the contrary, that he had asked Blanc to give him not a New York voice as such, but a voice like that of actor Frank McHugh, who turned up frequently in supporting roles in the thirties and whose voice might be described as New York Irish.[1] Bugs Bunny is one of the most popular and recognizable cartoon characters in the world.

There were 2 Mortimer Mouses - the 1st one was Minnie Mouses ranch owning cattle man Uncle who
1st appeared in the comic strip death Valley in 1930. The 2nd Mortimer Mouse was Mickey's competition for Minnie Mouse & he was introduced in the 1936 short Mickeys Rival.

Not sure about the 2nd Mortimer Mouse but the 1st Mortimer Mouse (Minnies Uncle) was created by Floyd Gottfredson for The Walt Disney Company.

OK. Here's a slightly more challenging one. What canine cartoon figure is known for a slightly evil snicker? He had an aviator for a cartoon companion.

"Puff the Magic Dragon ..."

BUT .... what was the name of the
popular cartoon show that existed
before the song?

The name of the boy and the dragon?

DO YOU KNOW?

"The Point" was the name of a cartoon show.
Jackie Draper = the name of the boy. 'Oblio' was also listed at another site as the boy's name.
That was a good one!
