Cool Coffee.

Coffee the wonder drink. It's good to drink when you're tired. I have drinken it when cramming for finals at the last minute. I have stayed a wake for 24 hours to study in the past. I drank it when the doctor said I had to stay awake all night for tests before. I also drink it cause I like the taste. I have drank all different kinds of coffee. The funny thing is I can sleep better when I drink it during the day. I hope everyone has a safe Memorial Day. Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful weekend.

I also like coffee. However, I try to not use it too stay awake as that is not good for a lot of different medications. Of course, there is usually decaf available.

Some people with E can not drink any caffeine at all without it causing seizures. I am lucky that it does not bother me.

I like coffee too Hawke. In fact, some of my migraine medicine had caffine in them (caffergot was one), so I have always enjoyed my few cups. Now if I were to stop, I would have a headache after about the second day. I can go one day without, but it is my "treat".

If I go without it I have trouble sleeping. Without it during the day my medicine will make me tired and fall a sleep. If I fall a sleep to soon, I won't able to sleep. Besides seizures I have to deal with sleep apnea. Sometimes I can go days with sleep cause of it. Eventually it will catch up to me,then I'll sleep all day and night. How's your daughter doing?

She is doing great! A bit too busy, but she is managing fairly well.
We are going to be bringing home the neurofeedback equipment to rent for a couple of months. I hope this will stablize her even more.

We are going to get her a new mattress this weekend, and hopefully that will help her sleep better too.

I like coffee here and there...more when it is cold outside. Cozy and warming! I am not an everyday coffee person. I have to have decaf or I am jittered out and have a pounding heart. Caffeine keeps me awake and I think it does cause me seizures. I am still trying to pinpoint if this is the case. I love hazelnut the best.

Thumbs up

I like coffee too, but don't drink it every day,
and usually limit the consumption in the morning.

I used to drink coffee all the time. Now, I hardly drink it at all. I do swig a caffeinated soda in the morning. I'm not a morning person at all.

I get severe headaches from caffeine withdrawal. And, I feel completely exhausted. I have to have that little jump to keep going so I keep my meds on schedule. I have no problem sleeping.

I drink coffee regularly, but have no problems going several days without it. I think I am more hooked on having that warm drink in my hand. I prefer the regular because of taste, but decaf will do or hot tea or hot cider in winter. I think it is just a habit, especially at work.

Either way, I will keep serving it to our new guests and any of the oldies that want some.

Me too.

I recently (Thanks to Robin and the April Challenge) weaned myself off of caffeine. We make coffee now with mostly decaf with a scoop or two of caf. I really don't care much about the taste. You know the when you sometimes make coffee and it smells a little like skunk and you don't know why? I'll drink that. Or when you leave the coffeemaker turned on a little to long and it gets that burnt taste - I'll drink that too.

I limit it to only 3 cups maximum a day....any more than that and I tend to find I become a bit jittery and jumpy (nothing seizure wise, but just not pleasant) - it's kinda like my thoughts become scrambled.

Oh, I also make sure that my last cup is around 3-4pm, as I wanna make sure it's out of my system by the time I reach bedtime....I MUST get my sleep.

I drink coffee 365 days a year. 366 days in leap year. If I don't have my coffee I can get extremely tired cause of the medicine I take. I can sometimes fall a sleep when someone is talking to me. Sometimes for no reason at all I can fall a sleep. Last week I went about 3 to 4 days without any sleep before. I always wake up about six times a night while I'm sleeping. Funny thing is if I take a nap I won't be able to sleep. How was everyones Memorial Day? I hope everyone had a safe fun.

I had a pretty good Memorial Day. We saw the parade. The highlight of it was when the local library employees pushed their book carts in formation. I did see one person I knew from our fire department.

The Clydesdale horses were cool and unique.

Otherwise, I cleaned my house and did some yardwork. We had a lot of hot weather and I shared vanilla ice cream with my furry dog. We added some peanut butter to it.
Guess I'll have to start cleaning out our big air conditioner soon!

My neighbor is a work of art. He has 2 antique cars. One is a convertible car from the 1950s. He had 2 mini flags attached to the windshield. He did post his one old truck on e-bay but nobody bid on it. I've seen him downtown in the antique convertible car going to and from work. I swear this guy is as hyper as his kids. He just has bigger toys now.

We went to an outdoor movie. It was really nice. I think there are not too many outdoor theatres anymore. You guys would be proud of me... I avoided the junk food there. I think there wasn't anything healthy other than bottled water or peanuts. That was it! The other stuff is really good.

I hope everybody else had a good holiday!

I miss that steaming cup of Java...but have been told it's a no no for my temporal lobe epilepsy. But because I'm far from perfect when following rules, I do drink one cup each morning on the weekend only. Look forward to it. Other times I drink de-caf green tea. You could put a bit of honey in it or lemon. Cheers!

...Sometimes it's more enjoyable when you control intake. Whew! I just posted about my cigarette habit - I AM quiting -but I do find when I limit my cigarette intake it's more enjoyable. But there's really no comparison to coffee and cigarettes! Cigarettes will kill you. Coffee might not be the best thing for epilepsy but I have one cup each Saturday and Sunday. My treat for the weekend! Laurie

I guess I'm the only one that drinks a lot of coffee. I drink it like some people drink a lot of coke. I drink my coffee black. Decaf coffee tastes terrible. It taste like drinking dirt in water.

I used to drink 9 cups a day Hawke. The running joke at school was that I should just break down and get a coffee IV.
