When you have over 2,500,000 people living in an isolated area and the adult attractions like we have, there will be problems. I have never had a gun pulled on me, or been robbed, or even had my house broken into. Neither has anyone I know personaly. It's all in prespective. The media has a field day with horror stories and blows the wrong messages out of preportions.

The school situations are multi-problematic. The parents are not aware of what Jr. is doing, who he's with or even his state of mind. Teens are a general pain in the tookus and can be very secretive. Gang influeance appeals to these lonely confused kids. Sometimes the parents are to blame, sometimes the kids.

I live next to the base. Problems fluxuate in this area because of OTHER areas. If they run the homeless, or gangs out of one place, they migrate up here until they run them off here. Right now I believe Merto is cleaning this area up. Not too much is tolerated in this area here because of the base. And our little corner of the world is usually quite and undisturbed. We are off the main road and not very noticable. I like it like that!.

Vegas was a wonderful place 2 decades ago. It was a friendly town. Now it looks and acts like a subdivision of L.A. I hate what it's become. (sigh) I miss the Mafia days. They used to take good care of this town. These mega resorts have ruined a good thing.

My son told me he's having a big problem with those homeless &^$&^. Metro, if they even bother to respond take up to 3 hours to show up. These slimy turds harrass the customers for money, steal merchandise, and are a huge nusisance in general. The problem seems to be really bad this year. I don't know if it's because of all the road construction running them off their usual spots or if Utah and Arizona is offering these guys one-way bus fare again.

The key is to be aware of your surroundings and people near-by. It would be real easy to become reclusive because of bad elements but I refuse to give into fear. It's not my
STYLE to be afraid.
