Natalie-

This site has taught me to be the best advocate for Nicole and not to give up. It has also given me the courage to speak up on epilepsy issues in my community. I get my strength from everyone here.

Couldn't agree with you more.
Bernard keeps it pretty fresh and the members are the best

As I've said before, I created the structure, but it's the members who have made this a home.

Without Bernard, where would we be?

A dinner party

Bernard has used the image of a Dinner Party and an inviting home to form this network of freinds. I had toyed around with a few other sites, found some great information, but limited support. Then I stopped here for dinner, stayed for a cup of coffee, and never left.

I feel so at ease here and have been able to talk about things in ways I never could before. People here have heard things that no one other than my wife has heard (probably some things she has not as well).

They even added the Padded Room shortly after I joined. I still haven't decided if that was a hidden message for me.

(my favorite smiley)

what is the padded room exactly?

I had actually met Bernard on a different forum and that is how I found my way here...I am so happy to have finally found this forum. I had heard of it before, but never realized what it actually was! I actually didn't realize it was a forum at all...I thought it was a website with information...I couldn't have been more wrong...huh??? hahahaha!

Thank you again every one for the warm welcomes and the nice pms that I have received...

It will take me a bit to settle in here. Also, I probably won't be a member that will be able to be here everyday (although I wish that I could be)...but when I can...I will drop by and say "hi" and see how everyone is doing!

I am trying very hard to read many of the current threads so I can become familiar with everyone, but as I said earlier...it is a lot to take in...it is kind of like moving to a new neighborhood and trying to get to know everyone at once! hahaha! My memory is horrible (as you all already know about me) so please be patient with me if I get some of my information wrong...

Sadly...I am afraid that I might end up being more of a taker than a giver...it is really just my circumstances at the moment. Hopefully in the long run it will all even out...but for the start...I am just not in much of a position to offer you all very much...I can give tons of virtual hugs though...

I hope everyone is having a great night so far!

BuckeyeFan's Padded Room ( BuckeyeFan) is just one of the "forum rooms" we have here in the CWE house. You can click on the 'Epilepsy Forum' link at the top of the page to see a list of all the 'forum rooms' and a description for them.

No requirements

Natalie,

You are welcome to come and go as your life allows. No requirements for input here, though the hugs are always appreciated.

Each of us has our own unique situation and that can change daily, especially if you have E or a loved one with E. Everyone is different and has unique experiences or perspectives. That is what is comforting about this site.

I also like to hear from our members outside the USA to meet and learn about them. It doesn't matter where you live when E strikes. It doesn't see any borders or oceans.

LOL...the Padded Room, is one of the rooms in the forum....it's a place where we can go to just post a rant when it seem like things are just going completely hinky or unfair. And it's not just about E, it can be about anything.

Exclamation

Padded Room is where we can have
pillow fights, pool noodle fights, food
fights, slurp spaghetti noodles without
Mom screaming at us! (and so on)

Yes, I just want to thank Bernard for his sense of humor. A lot of us have it but we are not supposed to bring it up. Thank you for letting everybody really get to know the serious and the fun side of things Bernard. I Am a very joyful light spirit and this place lets me be who I am. Teresa
