Generalised Slow Wave Activity On EEG?

Finally got my results of the EEG today (which states the wrong date, says i had it done on 31st December, it was actually the 23rd).

It says it "showed some generalised slow generalised slow wave activity which is slightly abnormal but non specific in nature and doesn't help at all with diagnosis."

While you should talk to your neurologist to get a detailed interpretation, the report suggests that the EEG evidence was inconclusive. Certain EEG patterns are slam-dunks in terms of making an epilepsy diagnosis, but others -- like generalized slow waves -- are open to a wide variety of interpretations. They aren't enough to confirm a diagnosis because they can be associated with non-epileptic states as well.

This doesn't necessarily rule out a diagnosis of epilepsy. Many seizures occur too deep in the brain to show up on EEG, or are difficult to record unless they are happening during the EEG test. In general, absences, simple partials, and complex partials can be tougher to catch on an EEG than a tonic-clonic seizure disorder.

Thanks. Forgot about this post, sorry for the long delay in replying.
My neurologist said he was going to arrange a 7 day video telemetry EEG , which later changed to 5 days (turns out the hospital don't do 7 day video telemetries). I had asked him if the test would definately go ahead as tI had been waiting over 7 years for any EEG tests to be arranged by the hospital (they kept promising them and then never materialising) and they had lost my details for the EEG test in the first post above so nearly didn't get that test that day. He assured me I definately would get the video telemetry.

However, I was referred to the epilepsy clinic of the hospital where they did another EEG test which came up normal, so they discharged me from the epilepsy clinic as there was "no epileptic activity seen".
So the video telemetry that was definately going ahead according to Dr Zermanksy isn't.
It has been cancelled.
This is just one of the many reasons why I hate Salford Royal. They won't even hold their hands up when they make a mistake either.

Bugger, i'm sure i'm supposed to be being sent to a hospital in that area for an MRI. Not sure if it's Manchester or Salford i'll be getting sent to.

You can choose which hospital you want to go to now, even if it's miles away. I'm going to the Walton Centre in Liverpool on Tuesday even though I live in Salford.
I do know of one person who has had a positive experience at Salford Royal (however, I know of quite a few more than one person who has not).

Yeah, i currently go to the Royal Preston, even though i live in Blackpool. There was one my neurologist is going to send me to cos they have a better MRI or something. I think it was Manchester....

Glad i'm not going to Blackpool though, i've had nothing but bad experiences at that hospital.
