Question Getting to know you...

[edit: This thread was split off from Seizure Triggers.]

Where in OK do you live? I use to live there. I remember those bumpy roads and pot holes. Seems like you can't get away from those no matter where you live. Do you have any warning signs or auras before your seizures? I hope you enjoy it here on CWE. Everyone here is cool and nice. I hope you have a good and safe Memorial Day weekend.

I live in the Tulsa area.
Sometimes I do have auras before my seizures. They are usually in the gut. My husband knows that when I say I really feel awful it's seizure time. It's funny though; when I'm out in the heat, there is no aura, I just keel over.

Hey Hawke,
I just noticed you live in San Antonio. I used to live between Military Drive and Loop 410, south of Wilford Hall. I taught school, first in Northside District, and then at Cleto Rodriguez Elementary School in the barrio. I was there for 6 years before I moved here.

Just a funny story. I originally come from southern Az. When I said I was moving to San Antonio, friends in Phoenix said that San Anton was just like Phoenix weatherwise. I was in San Antonio a whole month before I bought 2 large capacity dehumidifiers.
Some friends!

Molly, this is where it appears that my daughter is feeling hers. Though she has no memory of them, I gather this information from those around her at school. I haven't seen that heat is a trigger for her, but she definitely has a preference for the cold weather. Good thing since she is a figure skater.

Hawke,
In the upper right hand corner of your posts it gives join date, location, and the number of posts. Sorry if I intruded.

It's OK Molly. How do you like here so far? I never paid attention to see if it gives location. You didn't intrude or bother me. What's the number by your name mean or stand for?

Hawke,
The 97 refers to the birth year of a very precious schnauzer that we just lost to cancer last October.
Curious. What does the 86 refer to?

Sorry to hear your dog died last year. The 86 refers to the year I graduated high school.

Michelle,
You're 85, he's 86. 86 is definitely older than 85.
Sorry. I couldn't help myself.
