I HATE tech support!!!!!

I just need to rant about this!!!!!!

The store had my computer for 3 days to fix a virus it had. After paying an un-godly amount of money I got it back with a whole new problem. I called the store about it and they told me to call their tech support people.

After spending nearly 3 hours with several tech support people on the phone they told me to take it back to the store. They had it for 3 days again and told me that it was just "A bunch of little viruses" causing it. After bringing it home it still had the problem.

After calling the store about the problem they told me to get on their web site and chat with someone who could fix the problem. I just spent over 2 1/2 hours on Turns out they changed the version of my web browser to the updated version of it when they took the origional virus out of the computer and that's what was causing all the other problems. The guy changed it back and now it's working just fine.

AAAAAAHHHHHH!

Sorry just needed to rant.

Yes, computers can make our lives so much easier, but when things go wrong, the ancient typewriter starts to look pretty good. Never needed tech support for that.

Terrible quality video, but it's exactly the scene I wanted to share:

I actually once had an ancient typewriter, from 1929.
I currently have an old bicycle I am restoring to as close as possible to howe it used to look when it was new. It was made in 1953.

The 3 big issues faced in the tech world today.
1.Lack of real training.
2.Lack of true experience.
3.Ego that the title 'Technician' actually means they know anything.

And for everyone the thought that newer is always better or faster is generally wrong.

I deal with both users and technicians and get to see the faults on both sides.
