I posted an album!!

I finally posted some of my pictures! I used the directions Bernard gave and went to ImageShack. Then I got all the codes and wrote them ALL down. Then I came here, ready to upload.

And got the surprise of my life! Because I have all my photos in Aperture(a post-processing program for us iMac geeks), I was able to download directly from my computer's hard drive. So all that messing around with ImageShack for nothing! But hey, it's a learning experience, right?

Anyway, you'll see from my album that I'm into macrophotography and I'm into photographing whatever is at hand. Some of the photos were in my backyard and some were taken in my kitchen.

Great textures you have captured Molly.
Wonderful that you figured it out. I remember when I had first learned how to upload a photo, what a great feeling it was.

You know, the thing about this is that I do not share myself easily. Whether it's putting out a poem over on the Creative Writing Page here or creating an album that others can see and comment on, it's a big deal to me.

Thumbs up Just got done looking at your album.

This is really neat perspective Molly. So many of the pictures look like something else. I saw old bones in some and others looked like the surface of a far off planet. Very cool.

I keep thinking I need tp post more of mine. One of these days ....

Buckeye Fan,
You and Robin got it. These are abstractions on a theme, mushrooms, to be precise. Many people don't feel comfortable looking at something they can't identify, put a name to.

Looking forward to seeing more of yours.

Wow Molly!

Nice work. One of the photos reminded me of an ear and another of the edge of a seashell! Isn't creativity fun? I don't/can't do photography (I think that takes a true gift), but when I'm able, I have other creative outlets I enjoy exploring too.

Thank you for sharing! Much ((HUGS)) -Julie

Very nice, Molly! Just as in your creative writing, you always have an interesting perspective on all aspects of life.

Thanks for sharing.

Cindy,
You hit the crux of the matter; I do always seem to have a unique point of view. Thank you.

Julie,
I'm glad you let your imagination run free when you viewed my pics.

Thumbs up

Job well done! With the contrast, texture,
highlights, shadows, overtones, hues, and to
the fact ... not that it is a "mushroom" - but
as if one studied it, it is an "Abstract" art
form if you looked at it carefully, with the
linear formations not in particular parallels,
but into depths and comprehension.

While it's very "hard" for the soft-type photos
to be attention attractions, this alone attracts
in an unusual manner, with the soft being the
main feature rather than the bold (vice versa).

{This does not apply to family / personal
studio photos, but rather applies to still
life photography - whether in-studio or
natural outdoors, with the outdoors being
hard to come by.}

Sharon,
Thank you for the kind words about the album. It is a common item taken to the point of abstraction.
