Unhappy Lost a Special Friend

Last night I lost a special friend. His name was Little Nutbrown Hare or Lil Bunny for short. We had him for nearly 4 years, he was the runt of the litter He was a miniature dwarf rabbit and he wasn't much bigger than a hamster when we first got him.
He will missed until I see him again!

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

It's never easy losing a pet -- they're such an important piece of the family puzzle.

*hug*

Oh Cat!
I'm so so sorry.
Its never easy. in fact its one of the hardest things in life. losing something that loves you no matter what, and is loving you for you. I cried at your post. I miss all my animals, as I have had each of them for so long. I would look forward to seeing them all again, as should you.

HUgs Hugs and more HUGS

I don't like to even think about the time when my little boy Umbro won't be my service dog anymore. He is 6 now and has been working with me for 3 years now. He is my guide dog, hearing dog and seizure responce dog. He works realy hard for me and does a wonderful job. I know that death is a part of the life-cycle but boy does it hurt to think about it.
Umbro is one of those guide dogs that will work until he physically can't. Some guide dog ownwers will leave their doggie in their harness for short amounts of time just so they feel they are working. Umbro gets a little depressed when he doesn't work for a week. We try to work everyday but since I don't go to school or work- kinda have to wait until good weather and just travel on the busses, learn new parts of Austin. Umbro loves traveling downtown... my good little boy.
He is in my profile photo- being a silly little boy. LOL
Anyway- I know we will meet again and he will then be my guide in Heaven. He will show me around, make sure I don't run into anyone, or pets and make sure to help me find my twin sis and friends and family.
Maybe we can have a CWE in Heaven- internet should reach with all of the satelites in space.

I do want to tell you, sorry about your loss and I hope that you feel better soon. With all of the love you have shown, you will find your friend again.

Please take care,
Crystal and her guide, Umbro
