More fun in the waiting rooms

I had a dentist appointment. A woman with an obvious physical and mental disability came in (maybe MS with retardation).

She sat one seat away from me and the woman accomping her, first burped in my face when put her purse down on the seat next to me.
The she went to sign in, came back, look towards me and started coughing (mouth uncovered).

So I did the sensible thing and moved as far away from her as I could.

She shot me a nasty look and made a comment about how it was wrong to avoid the disabled, etc.

Well being as this was the dentist, it was one of the rare times I actually had my medic alert bracelet on. So I lifted up my sleeve, held up my arm, and said 'Do I look like someone who thinks the disabled should be discriminated against. I moved because I don't enjoy having rude people burp and cough in my face."

Well there is a great reason to wear your bracelet! Great answer.

People need to look in the mirror once in a while. I hope that played on her conscience for a while.
