Need cheering up.I had a tonic clonic siezure on saturday morning whilst asleep in bed and still feel really lousy. I usually recover fully within two days but i still feel lousy, foggy mind and ringing in my ears, i just dont feel fully with it. As well as having a bad siezure on saturday morning i recieved some bad news that my wifes grandmother died on saturday also. I dont want to be a burden to my wife as she has enough on her mind at the moment, I feel guilty for the way i am feeling at the moment as shes always been there for me and never complains, so i am just keeping my problems to myself. I Know my wifes nans death was expected, but that doesnt make it any easier for her. Thanks for reading this , i feel a bit better already. Paul |

| I am so sorry to hear of your wife's grandmothers passing. Let her know that we are thinking of her. You might still be feeling bad because of these emotions and because you are feeling guilty. Stop that! It is not your fault that you had a seizure. Remember that any extra stress that you are putting on yourself is not going to help. Easier said than done, I know, but try to put those feelings aside. I am sure that your wife understands and she knows that you are there for her. Sometimes the added emotions, such as you are feeling now, will drag you down even if you haven't recently had a seizure. I have had some that the recovery seems to drag on. I hope that you feel better soon!! |

| I agree with huskymom -- you don't get to pick and choose when the seizures hit, so you shouldn't feel guilty if they do at an awkward moment. I've often felt like "keeping my seizures to myself" when they strike, but ultimately it's better to let close friends or family know what's going on. Of course CWE is always here too... I hope you feel better and the fog lifts soon. |
