Not Eating/Drinking Before Surgery

I know tonsss of you on here have had surgeries. Today is my big day, and today is the first time I've had a surgery in the afternoon. Oh boy, it's driving me nuts! My first two surgeries were the doctor's first surgeries of the morning.. so the not eating thing wasn't a problem AT ALL. lol.
I've been up nearly all night, sleepless as can be.. sooo restless and of course haven't been able to eat since midnight! My belly seemed to start growling at midnight on the dot. Hehe. I think it's being a little dramatic, but it knew it wasn't getting breakfast and lunch, and it's not too happy about that!
So.. it's about 9:20 AM and we still don't have to be at the hospital till 1:30 PM. Operation isn't until 3:30 and then ya know they'll only be givin me ice chips..
Hehe I know I'm whinin about nothin really.. It's not a big deal.. but don't ya hate it? That little bit of pre-surgery belly growlin?
