Pregnant Cat

We have a pregnant stray cat that has come around. I know that they have the kittens about 9 weeks after they get pregnant, but does anyone know how many litters they have in a year? She's very young, probably not even a year old herself.

Once she has the kittens we will decide if we are going to bring them in the house or try to get someone to take them, anyone want a kitten???? If not then we will get them fixed or take them to the humane socity.

Again, if anyone wants a kitten let me know

You should at least hang on to them for a while so the mother can nurse them.

This seemed pretty informative

We aren't going to get rid of them before they are ready to go. I know not to do that. We've had a good bit of strays come around. We live in the country near a farm and I think that's where most of them have come from.

We've gotten a lot of them fixed to try and keep up with the strays but there's always more that come around.

Its actually my grandparents house that they are going to. They live beside me. I keep telling them not to feed them so that they will stop coming around but she won't do it. She feels bad because they are strays and doesn't think they are getting anything to eat.

Cool

I live in the city again where a lot of people don't seem to know how to handle pets.

My girls would love a stray kitten but I'm allergic to cats and we've got our own litter of boxer dogs to take care of. Sorry.

Good luck with them all! I know it's a handful just with dogs. We had a huge litter (9 pups in just this litter) and 2 pups died within the first day and another one passed away after 1 1/2 wks.

I wish I could take one. We just had our little Mia go missing. Her brother Max, has been crying all the time. I hate to think it but, I think the coyotes found her.

They were indoor cats until Max learned how to open the screen sliding door.
We are very sad, so a new kitty would be fun.

That's awful Robin. I know what that's like. We had one of ours get out a few years ago and I was sick to my stomach. Luckily I found him. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't.

Have you watched that show "Last Chance Highway"? Great idea, but I think that they only do dogs. I wonder if there is a place like that for cats? My baby will be 18 this year and I hold my breath every day when I get home from work hoping she will meet me at the door....
