| I do live in Austin hehehe. I live with my twin sister and best friend Rachel and we all have epilepsy. My twin and I are deaf-blind with residual hearing and vision. So it's real nice to have Rachel help us out with sighted/hearing things we cannot do. It is also perfect situation to live with others who have epilepsy since those people know you best and know how to help you when others cannot. I just happen to meet Rachel at epilepsy.com chatroom. Me and her visited just about everyday for two years before she came to visit us during Christmas. Then two months later she wanted to live here in Austin. Transportation is perfect and special transit service is available for specific medication conditions that effect your travel on the regular city busses. I am thinking of some ideas here... I don't know of too many people here in Texas right now even though I've lived here my whole life. Just moved back from Oklahoma not quite a year yet. So I will try to think of some ideas. We are waiting for more people to come together to create a epilepsy support group so when I hear news out of San Antonio about it I can let you know- those people obviously would have epilepsy you know? Let me know if you have any questions.. Crystal and her guide Umbro |

| Bet you didn't expect me to reply to you brainwavez. brainwavez, if you live in Wimberley, then you and I are just a few miles away from each other, in the same county. How's the weather out there? Instead of being an "epileptic roommate", maybe we can become "epileptic county-mates". I can handle some constant talking and I'm sure I can handle grand mals too, because I've seen and have helped other people who've had other seizures. Plus, I have epilepsy myself, and know a lot about it. You probably already know that there's a brand new hospital being built in Kyle, along IH-35, which is due to be opening this coming October. Well, I'd like to restart my epilepsy support group, and do the group meetings at that hospital. And then there's something that you might want to check out. It has to do with the Anita Kaufmann Foundation, and their Fifth Grade Program. Would you be interested in learning whatever's necessary, and then going to a bunch of schools in our county, and surrounding counties, to talk to fifth graders (and older children) about seizure and epilepsy? I'll be glad to discuss more about this and anything else, so please feel free to PM me, then maybe we can exchange phone numbers.
