They are how old!

I was listening to the radio yesterday and there was something interesting that came on. One of my favourite bands has been listed as old. I'm not sure how many of y ou have listened to Motley Crue but guess the average age of the band members.....wait for it.... 51! *sorry for those of you that are older* but jeez, there is gonna be alot of awesome singers and band that are going to be gone soon.

Also some of the greatest actors of all time *in my opinion* are barely have maybe 10-15 years left. if that. here are some

Clint Eastwood- 79yrs old
Sean Connery- 79yrs old
Harrison Ford- 68yrs old
Jack Nicholson- 72yrs old *my grandpas age*
Sir Ian McKellan- 70yrs old
Al Pachino- 69yrs old
Johannes Heester- 106yrs old!!!
Mick Rooney- 89yrs old
Jayne Meadows- 89yrs old

So that's a pretty crazy list of actors that are OLD!
hopefully they can end up like this lady:

52 I don 't really consider old. its just the fact that these people seemed to have been immortalized as 30-45. I couldnt believe that Motley Crue was that old. I still thought they were in their late 30's. Most of them age pretty well considering their lifestyle.

Many of them are well 'preserved' in alcohol.

I always think the same thing when I see clips of Mick Jagger dancin' around in his skinny little frame. He is two years older than my mom (who looks great for her age) and dad. I think he will be be 67 this year...if my math is correct.

I am AGELESS.....

I remember some of these groups and actors/actresses from my "timeless" aging....

It's unbelieveable that they're really that old........

I personally think Sean Connery has done his best work since the age of 55-60. Very few movies will I watch simply based on the actor. I do with him and Robin Williams.

The 2009 pick looks like the Connery is doing his best "sexyface" -- pouty lips, heavy-lidded stare, brow raised suggestively...

EDIT: I bet he practices that look in the mirror, while holding a Cosmo for comparison.

For some it is the pickling process of alcohol, having a great makeup artist, or a great plastic surgeon. A very few just have great genetics.

If you take a good close look at them you will see they really do look that old. Like them I just try not to look in the mirror any more than I have to.

Red face

Sometimes it is kind of hard to accept my teenage celeb crushes are turning old. The youngest are hitting 50, with others are well into their 60s. I'll bet the guys my age can rattle them off as fast as me.

hahaha, you're right Court, he has such deep lines on his forehead in the '89 pic, but hardly any in the most recent pic (unless it's all great lighting)!

I love Ben Kingsley - I wish he would stay the same age forever! Or, at a compromise, at least until I could catch up :-D

Hi not High!

You missed a few
and you know you are "aging" when all those songs are NOW in T.V. commercials I,m not sure should I be tapping my foot or freaking out because my junior high music was on a ROLAIDS clip .
I look like Opie and Ron Howard poses on the cover of a A.A.R.P. mag. last year boo hoo that one hurt.
You folks were commenting about how "ageless" or "soul less" some of those musicians are BUT lets not forget about the endless stream of deceased ones that passed early because of their "habits" or the even longer list of fans that tried to imitate them that are still heading over the edge.
OR the aging men and women sitting at their desks "happy" to have seizure disorders rather than the habits and diseases some of these rockers have picked up over the years.
It also does not surprise me how many of these folks and even "their" kids are straight 100% SOBER and some more that progressed into "christian" rock n roll .
You know you are getting old when
My daughter (12) was humming a rock n roll song in school and did not know the next line AND the teacher finished the words for her
At least it was,nt about drinking or doing dope ,then we would have issues. lol
Times change and one generation preaches how bad the next is or was
But I have some weird examples and I am not sure whether I should be proud or immediately changing my ways
They had "hippie" day at my daughters middle school and she took my Rainbow children clothes and a shirt I had made when Jerry Garcia died and the kid won the contest they had AND the teachers wanted to know where they could get a shirt like hers lol lol very "time" telling .
Times change....In the 70,s my brother was forced to turn his purple tye dyed shirt inside out to finish the school day and forbidden to wear it again lol and now my kid makes tye dye in school to BRING home
I was given detention for having candy in school and all through my kids grade school they REWARDED them with candy
Times change, in honor of my Dad (R.I.P.) d<?n HIPPIES!
In honor of my daughter Rock On .... Rick
