Try some art.....

I had a local artist, Sherry Hall Fullen, paint this for me 15 or so years ago. It has special meaning for me but what do you think? Sherry asked me if she could take it to an art show that she was just about to go to but I said no because it had just been finished and I wanted to see it for awhile. I should have let her take it for awhile, it would have become famous I am sure. It is definitely unique.

Sorry about the light, it looks much better in person.

I have some other art that kind of goes along with my personal theme but they are not custom paintings like this one.

Awesome! My idea of a good time was visiting a crayon factory last year. I sat at the table with little kids (and maybe one other adult) and just drew all kinds of artwork. It was the most fun I had in a lot of time. Lots of sharpened crayons and high quality paper. Cheap thrills, I know. But, very relaxing!!

The sky in that painting is really well done. And the shading relative to the lighting is very accurate as well.

I recently visited an art museum and had an opportunity to see my favorite artists' paintings as well. I had to view some of the artwork up really close to see the fine lines and incredible detail. Is this an oil painting? It looks like its' one of those or possibly an oil pastel.

Maybe a reproduction of this work can be made for publication or display.

I would be more than happy to show it somewhere but I do not know how to go about doing it.

The meaning, to me at least, that I tried to inspire the artist with when she said she would do it for me is about half religous and half just trying to show people that not all is lost.....at any time.

My thought, for the piece, shows that, even in an old graveyard that looks like noone cares anymore, there is still hope and life and that God does not look at the size of your "tomb" or the shinyness of it as well. God cares about what is in your heart. The other half, for me, shows that even throughout all of emptyness (of the graveyard) that the angels are witnessing, encouraging and even putting this lonely person before others as a result of their care for him. A picture of encouragement and fortitude.

I was in a great depression at the time, partly because of my epilepsy, partly because of my hydro and some other things. I wanted to remind myself every day that it did not matter what other people thought. It helped me a great deal. But, it is interesting to hear what others see in it.

I would like it to be on display somewhere as it just lays under my bed right now as I have no place to put it and my wife thinks it is depressing. It is all in how you see it I guess.

Thats a beautiful interpretation of the piece of art.

Hope someone arty here can help you out on finding out how to display it.
Funny! I did an ladies hair last week and she was an artist visiting from Tasmania, was here to put work on display, if she shows up again i will ask her.

Bit of a shame having it under a bed.

Best wishes
Cheryl

Wow!

I love it. It has so much content. You can keep looking and finding new things. The mixture of the mist and the light would take a lot of talent.

The light also shows a focus point of caring/remembrance/life going on/lives lived well. I do not think it is depressing at all. But then again, it is not hanging on my wall every day.

I would not be afraid to present this to a local Art Institute for at least temporary display. That is not unusual at all for them to display local talent.
