What's the real probability?

Quick question because when I looked it up I got mixed answers so I thought maybe someone here would know. If I have a child with a woman who has idiopathic epilepsy what are the chances that my child can get it? I have symptomatic epilepsy by the way. Scar tissue.

I don't think there would be an answer readily available for that if I'm honest. Even a geneticist would probably struggle. Epilepsy runs in my dads side of the family and an uncle on my mums side has it too but his was caused from head trauma. I don't know why it was me who ended up with it but there's probably a chance that if I had a child that they would have epilepsy or that any nephews and nieces could.

Sometimes I wonder if its just the luck of the draw.
