Worried.

I have a eye infection thats lasted three days so far. My doctor told me it could last up to two weeks. Kind of screy. the loss of eye sight could be temporary or permant. Now that's real scarey. I hope it's only temporary. I don't want to be completely blind. It's bad enough being partially blind. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. How's everyones weekend so far? Lately I have been extremely tired and weak. I hate being tired and weak. I hope I spelled everything correctly and didn't repeat anything. I'm having trouble seeing what I do.

Hey Hawke- I think everything will be okay. If your vision changes there are modifications to computer technology, large print, CCTVs, maginification equipment etc- if you have any questions about it let me know. I have been visually impaired and hearing impaired all my life. I have just about every adaptive device available for deaf-blind people and am willing to talk to you about it more if you're interested. You visual loss will indicate weather or not other services can be provided by vocational rehabilitation services, a commission for the blind or other agency can help you.
Please don't worry yourself too much- I will be thinking about you and hoping everything turns out well. Just remember that if you do loose the remaining vision, there are always ways to fuction without it. It will be a hard adjustment, hard times and new things to learn such as adaptive skills/technology etc but all things are possible.

Take care,
Crystal and her guide Umbro

Thanks for the information. Crystal How well does this stuff help you? Do you ever have to wear sun glasses indoors cause the lights hurt your eyes? I have to do that sometimes. My eyesight still blackouts completely sometimes. That can get scarey especially when crossing the street. Sometimes I come close to be hit by a car.

Hi Everyone,
My eye seems to be doing a little better. They're still sensitive to light. I still have to wear sunglasses even indoors to protect my eyes. Thanks everyone.

Dearest Hawkeye. I've just returned back to CWE and am glad to have the opportunity to wish you well and remind you that you are cared for, supported. Dream about the happy. Awake each morning and remember that taking it one day at a time or hour by hour is a saving thing. Above all, never forget that you have so many people in your corner. You're not alone. Not ever.

That's bad news. I hope you will be better soon. Any news on the condition of your eye? I had an eye injury a few years ago and was also worried. Couldn't see for days with the injured eye but it got better and now everything is working fine.
