Everything but tourist areas, players hotels, NFL venues and stadium were struck by rolling power outages...including nursing homes, hospital, police. Celebrities were no show at last minute for parties, concerts, etc.
Today there was hours delayed in letting fans in as they didn't finish clearing ice off stadium...and billion dollar roof leaked in many areas. 850 fans were relocated and 400 fans with tickets were turned away.
Christina could have listened to that other girl and learned the lyrics! Most of the commericials were for movies, only a couple brought a chuckle. The half time show was worst than ever. Local sportscaster said of all the super bowl he has been to this is the worst ever!
It's Jerry's world and we just live in it here!
It was horrible, wasn't it. The north Texas residents got screwed when the visiting athletes, media, visiting fans at the hotels got priority. I'm so sorry you lost power a few times, we were very lucky here and never lost it. Knock wood, from what I hear, another storm is on its way.

As far as the actual game-

I was at a Super Bowl party. It was kind of noisy and I didn't notice Christina botch the National Anthem. I enjoyed the 1st half watching Green Bay kick the Steelers all over the field. The halftime show was terrible. Not a fan of the Black Eyed Peas. However, I heard a rocking guitar playing and up popped Slash, from Guns N Roses. I was a huge fan back in the day and I got sooo excited! Then Fergie opened her pie hole and ruined the moment by singing Sweet Child O Mine. Terrible. The 2nd half of the game was a little tough to watch. It was looking like the Steelers were going to come back. I was nervous. It all ended well and I breathed a big sigh of relief when the Packers pulled out the win.

I am so glad the Super Bowl is over and done with, and we can get back to the same ol same ol. I hope we never host it ever again!!!

Watched most of it with DH. Neither of us are big football followers so I don't think we got out of it what we were supposed to. Kind of cheering for the Steelers because class at school was in favor. But how can you not root for the only football team to make it into the anthropology textbooks (Packers). We found it pretty humorous - but maybe that was the gin and tonics.

Amen! Well, at least the rest of the country now know why we hate Jerry Jones...hahaha
As far as the game, I am not much of a football fan but told my friends I would root for the Packers since they didn't have a known rapist playing on their team. Glad they won!
