The Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB) is proud to announce the launch of the perfect beginning textbook—the first of its kind. Biofeedback Mastery: An Experiential Teaching and Self-Training Manual is an experiential laboratory manual for training educators, clinicians and students in the basics of biofeedback. This indispensible resource for learning the fundamentals of biofeedback was authored by Erik Peper, PhD, BCIAC; Hana Tylova; Katherine H. Gibney; Richard Harvey, PhD and Didier Combatalade, DC, and teaches basic skills derived from more than 30 years of biofeedback training and teaching experience. Biofeedback Mastery covers the basics of self-regulation, signal display and monitoring, accurate recording of the physiological signal, artifacting, and so much more. As the study of biofeedback and neurofeedback become more commonplace in the university setting, this text will be an invaluable tool.

This document is an update of the original 2004 edition and reviews the efficacy levels of 41 disorders treated with biofeedback and/or neurofeedback. Bio and neurofeedback provide evidence-based solutions for patients and the medical community for disorders traditionally treated with pharmaceuticals or other interventions. Levels of evidence range from case reports to observational studies to randomized clinical trials.
