| The benefit may be due to the high Vitamin D content of Cod Liver oil. A few studies have linked Vitamin D intake with a reduction in seizures, or speculate that low Vitamin D levels may lower seizure threshold: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1610507/ http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20472195 |

| I've definitely noticed a reduction in possible seizure related foot flapping at night since I started taking calcium with vitamin D regularly. At first I thought it was a coincidence, but the flapping came back when I ran out of the supplement and then bought another brand that had less vitamin D. When I went back on the brand with 1600IU's of vit D, the flapping subsided again. Like your example, it's anecdotal, but I will continue taking the calcium + D as long as it works. I will continue taking my Keppra for the larger seizures though |
