| Hi ambam -- Essentially an epileptologist is a neurologist with a subspecialty in epilepsy. HOWEVER, if a neurologist explicitly works in an epilepsy hospital center, or is affiliated with one, then he/she might not bother to call themselves and epileptologist. My neurologist specializes in epilepsy, but doesn't call herself an epileptologist, because she's part of the epilepsy department at a Boston hospital. |

| I agree with Nakamova. An epileptologist is a seizure specialist. If someone is either having a hard time getting a correct diagnosis, is having trouble with their medications, or is a candidate for surgery, I'd see an epileptologist. Otherwise, a really good neurologist is usually enough. |

| Here's not only a good definition of an epileptologist but a great list of where to find them. http://epilepsyinanutshell.blogspot....ptologist.html
