These days, health insurance costs an arm and a leg (literally), if you can even get it. But before you lose hope, here are some resources that might just make the impossible become possible…

Plan for Your Health — provides resources for helping those who are uninsured to find free or low-cost health insurance programs. http://www.planforyourhealth.com/insure/

Patient Advocate Foundation – solving insurance and healthcare access problems, they assist patients with medical debt crisis… insurance access problems…and job retention for those with chronic, debilitating and life-threatening illnesses. http://www.patientadvocate.org/

HealthWell Foundation — is committed to addressing the needs of individuals with insurance who cannot afford their co-payments, co-insurance, and premiums for important medical treatments. Medicare Savings Program Financial Eligibility Guidelines by State — gives you the eligibility guidelines for each state. Use the State Selection links to jump directly to a specific state. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Center Program – provides broader health insurance coverage because the health center assists uninsured patients enroll in Medicaid, CHIP, and other assistance programs.
