Qeeg

My psychiatrist has the software to perform a QEEG. All I know is that it can classify subjects into diagnostic groupings and a kind of "ruling out" e.g. head injury or not, Bi-Polar vs, Monopolare Depression. I would, especially, like to know if I have been misdiagnosed all these years. Bi-Polar vs. Temporal Lobe Epislespy. Top symptoms - mystical and estatic states. I wonder if a QEEG could determine this contrast.

I have both Bi-Polar and left temporal lobe epilepsy. I also have epilepsy on the right temporal lobe. I have to much to list.

Arrow There are 2 types of qEEG & QEEG

There are actually 2 types of qEEG and QEEG:

Quantum EEG is the older 16 or 24 channel, but is
colorized / computerized and was the first to come
out before and was labeled as (qEEG) - and it is
a type of "brain mapping" recording in 2-D, and
newer revisions do have some in 3-D.

and

Quantitative EEG (QEEG) - which is often now used
with Neurofeedback.

Which is your Doctor in reference to?

I've had both qEEG and QEEG.

That is what my Dr is referring to. I know it maps brave waves. Can it confirm temporal lobe epilepsy? L -

Thanks brain!

A lengthly article which I just popped into my 'Favorites". Will start the reading today. What they're doing with technology is fascinating. They way our brain works is fascinating.
